Relationship is…

Friend of mine once asked me what relationship is when she had problems with her own fears relate to her boyfriend long time ago.

So, I told her relationship is like two people holding a cup together.

In this case, the cup is not plastic as you can imagine.

Maybe China that really precious and beautiful but sensitive and fragile.

You can imagine how hard to hold a cup with two people.

We need to keep balance, and when one hand gets tired another hand needs to support another hand and make sure to not drop it.

I believe that we can say same thing for our any relationship.

Unfortunately or fortunately, relationship cannot really visible.

This is why often we get misunderstood and makes things complicated.

But, if you imagine that our relationship is a beautiful cup that we wanna treat well and keep the beauty forever, then we know what to do.

Building relationship is taking a time and effort.

Sometimes, maybe not so beautiful, but ugly.

But, everyone involved needs effort to make the relationship works.

We all have egos, prides and fears, but if you know how your cup is precious, then, please think about what is the benefits to keep your egos and how these affect the relationship.

So, please look at your heart to find something that no longer serve your life, and admit and release them to build strong relationship with your loved ones.

You don’t have to be in rush to do that.

But, take one steady step toward to the cup.

If you do that, then, your partner knows how you value your relationship even it takes a time.

And this makes the hands that holding the cup and the cup itself stronger and more beautiful than ever.

4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. (1 Corinthians 13:4-7 NIV)

“Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up. Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm. But how can one keep warm alone? Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.”

‭‭Ecclesiastes‬ ‭4:9-12‬ ‭NIV‬‬
